1/1/2024 WELCOME

Hi there.  My name is Art Ledford and I am a lawyer that does tax representation.  What does that mean?  Well, it means that when the IRS is coming after you, I can help you deal with them.  If they are looking to collect back taxes from you, I can speak with them and cut a deal with them, depending on your circumstances.  Is the IRS looking to have you pay for your spouse’s tax debt – usually referred to as an innocent spouse case?  I can help you there as well. Did you a get notice that your bank account is going to be levied or your wages are going to be garnished? I can do that too.  Did the IRS place a lien on your home or business, or on a relative’s home that you live in?  I can also help with that.

How do I do it?  No two tax situations are identical.  In fact, each case is unique in and of it self as everyone’s financial situation varies for different reasons.  First, I gather information about your financial situation, including your income, your assets, and your debts.  I also get a copy of your IRS file – referred to as tax transcripts – to see what information the government has about you and why they are giving you a hard time.  Once I have all this information, I spend several hours reviewing it to determine what is the best solution for your specific situation. Then, I walk you through what your situation is and what remedies are available to you.  I do charge a fee to do this, as it involves several hours of my time, but once I finish the analysis, I can show you all your possible options.  Even if you don’t move forward with me to address these options, you will have a very thorough understanding of your situation and how you can deal with it.

If you are in need of my help, please a free and confidential phone conversation to discuss your case.

1/5/2024  OPEN YOUR MAIL

This is actually a common thing with most people who have an IRS problem.  They don’t want to open the mail because it is just bad news.  I get it.  It’s like the old adage, “No news is good news.”  If you don’t open the mail, then you won’t be reminded of your IRS problem.  Sometimes it’s easier not knowing …. Right?
Here’s what you’re actually doing when you don’t open your letters from the IRS;  you are slowly giving up rights that you had to challenge the IRS.  The IRS has to give you an opportunity to challenge their assessments of your taxes as well as their notices to provide you with a hearing and an appeal.  If you do not respond to these notices, you are limiting your options to fight the IRS in your case.

Quite often people will come to me with their unopened mail from the IRS.  They want to know what is the status of their tax situation.  I can usually tell them how far their case has progressed with the IRS solely by opening their mail and reviewing it with them.
Don’t let this happen to you.  The best way to get on top of your situation is to know what’s going on with your IRS case.  The fastest way to do that is to read the letters the IRS sends you.
If you owe taxes and don’t know what to do, call me free and confidential phone conversation to discuss your case.
